Worship Central 1 - 1

Background

What does worship look like for you?
- communication, purpose, motivation,
- adoration, our response, to all powerful and all loving God.

What does your worship experience looks like?
- feel burnt out? cynical? tired of performance? disillusioned?

Why Jesus said must worship in spirit and truth - John 4?
- in spirit, total alignment of our heart soul mind strength with the will of God
- in truth, submission to His word and commandment, obedience to His purpose

So worship doesn't always look like a song / singing...

When Abraham first encounters God, he is called to obedient sacrifice – an act of worship. When Moses leads the people out of Egypt, it is so that they can worship the Lord, and Miriam leads them in a song of worship. When Hannah hands over her much longed-for baby son, Samuel, to the Lord, she lifts up her voice to worship. When David dances before the Lord with all his might, it’s an act of worship. When Elijah calls down fire from heaven, it is in the context of worship. When Job loses everything, he falls to his knees in worship.
Our objective: Build an authentic worship experience in the spirit and truth!
